Antonio Maldonado- Regional Director of Sales, West Coast Operations

Mr. Maldonado will utilize over 10 years of experience as a corporate sales executive to build the sales of operations for VISION Consulting on the West coast.

Prior to his entry into Corporate America, Antonio was both a soldier and an academic. After spending time in the United States Marine Corps, as a decorated war-veteran of the Persian Gulf War, he then took a position with the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California. He worked in the Department of Medicine, providing the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology with longitudinal research and acting as their Clinical Drug Trials Liaison.

Antonio's career as a sales executive began in the software industry while working with Legato Systems, in Palo Alto, California. In that role, he managed LegatoCare as the Worldwide Sales Manager for the provider of enterprise storage software. He recruited and managed a 25-member worldwide sales team - nearly quadrupling sales in his first year from $7 million to $27 million. In the last year of his three year tenure with Legato, he increased his team's annual revenue to over $45 million.

He was then recruited by Securant Technologies, a provider of security software, to become their Director of Worldwide Sales in their San Francisco, California headquarters. Antonio's handpicked team of 19 professionals increased sales from $200,000 to $12 million his first year. He was also responsible for establishing a European sales team for Securant, in the United Kingdom, dramatically increasing European sales.

This lead to a position with McAfee.com, located in Sunnyvale, California, as their Director of Inside Sales. Antonio was hired to establish a sales team from the ground up for this leading Internet site providing comprehensive computer security. Without a pipeline, his team of sales representatives, sales engineers, and marketing personnel generated $1.5 million in their third quarter alone. While in this role, he was also personally responsible for the acquisition of a multi-million dollar Federal government contract.

After two years in that position, Antonio was recruited by Yosemite Technologies, in San Jose, California, as their Inside Sales Manager for the Americas. Antonio quickly established himself by earning both Yosemite's highest quarterly revenue and the highest monthly revenue in the company's history.

He was then recruited by Bakbone Software, in San Diego, California, to fill the role of Director of Inside Channel Sales for the Americas. Antonio was responsible for staffing, training, and mentoring his sales team. He immediately led his new team to qualify for the company's top honor of inclusion in the President's Club.

Antonio joins VISION Consulting as our Regional Director of Sales for West Coast Operations. His decision to join our firm illustrates his commitment use his exceptional experience, recruiting and building successful sales teams, to enable our organization to maximize our ability to provide financial support to our non-profit partners. Antonio will establish our presence in San Diego and manage the growth of the entire West Coast region.
